Case Study: Mesa BeverageReturn To Main →

Company:
Established in 1988, Mesa Beverage employs 122 people and provides service to over 1,530 retail accounts. According to U.S. Census data, the combined population of Sonoma and Marin Counties is over 700,000 people. Key venues and attractions in the area include Infineon Raceway, the City of Sausalito, numerous golf courses and more.

Mesa Beverage distributes almost 4,000,000 cases annually, representing such suppliers as MillerCoors, Crown Imports, Heineken USA, Boston Beer and local brewers such as Lagunitas to name a few.

Challenge:
Mesa Beverage had just moved into their newly constructed facility in Santa Rosa, CA. The challenge was twofold: design a ballasted roof mount PV system with a centralized inverter that would be able to withstand the winds that blow in the area; and to complete the installation before year end so Mesa could receive all of their anticipated tax incentive and California rebate.

Solution:
Our structural and electrical engineering teams worked in conjunction with the electrical and construction teams to design a solution that was approved by the building department and allowed the project to be completed by the end of the year. Mesa received all of their anticipated tax incentives and California rebate.
